Answers

  1. How much should I bid on an item?

We ask that for small items you bid at least 1000 silvers or so, for bigger items it's a bit different.

For items with a current bid of upto 2,000,000 silvers we ask you bid at least 10%. You can bid more than this, but we ask you at least bid this amount.

For items with a current bid of 2,000,000 - 5,000,000 silvers we ask you bid at least 5%. You can bid more than this, but we ask you at least bid this amount.

For items with a current bid of 5,000,000 - 10,000,000 we ask you bid at least 3%. You can bid more than this, but we ask you at least bid this amount.

For items with a current bid of 10,000,000 and up we ask you bid at least 2%. You can bid more than this, but we ask you at least bid this amount.

These amount keep people from coming along and bidding 1k on a 5 million silver item. We know that having an auction outbid on it's third call with only a meager bid is frustrating and we are doing our best to help.

  2. How do I place a bid on an item I want?

Glad you asked! It's simple. When you find an item you want just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a "Place Your Bid" box. Simply type in your username (this will be filled in if you are logged in to the site), your password, and the amount you want to bid. Then hit submit. You will see a page that confirms you want to make a bid, just click the submit button again and you're done!

If you want to take an item on BUYOUT do NOT place a bid, you need to go to the buyout area for that.

  3. What is a Buyout Price?

This is the amount the seller is willing to take outright to end the auction immediatly and sell to the bidder. At anytime during the auction a buyer may elect to take the item on Buyout. If they do the auction ends as them as the winner and they pay the buyout price.

  4. I Bought an item on Buyout but I just got an email saying I was Outbid, how can this be?

The reason this happened is you placed a bid instead of Buying the item out.

In order to Buyout an item you must click the "Click Here To Buyout This Item" link underneath the Buyout price. This will take you to the buyout area. When you buyout an item correctly it will close the auction instantly and you have bought the item.

If you scroll down and "Place a bid" in the amount of the buyout the auction will think you made a bid and not close the auction. This allows others to come along and place higher bids.

If you accidently "Place a bid" instead of Buyout an item there is nothing we can do, so make sure you click the link if you want to buyout the item.

  5. I saw an item listed just yesterday with no bids, today it's gone. What happened to it?

A couple things may have happened.

If it had no bids the seller may have desided to remove the item from auction and deleted it.

It might have also been deleted by the Auction House for failure to follow guidelines.

BUT, Most likely the reason is the item had a Buyout price and someone came along and grabbed it on Buyout.
